Australia Interest Rate Chart
The Reserve Bank of Australia left the cash rate unchanged at a record low of 1.5 percent during the meeting held on July 4th, as widely expected. Policymakers said the slowdown in Q1 GDP growth was temporary and the economy is expected to strengthen gradually, with the transition to lower levels of mining investment following the mining investment boom almost complete. Interest Rate in Australia averaged 4.71 percent from 1990 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 17.50 percent in January of 1990 and a record low of 1.50 percent in August of 2016.
